Superb cliff top walks along the Heritage Coast footpaths to Branscombe in one direction and to Seaton and Lyme Regis in the other. Beer Quarry Caves, Pecorama model railway/pleasure gardens and the famous Donkey Sanctuary at Weston, Sidmouth are all close by.
Seaton with famous Tramway travels along the River Axe to nearby Colyford with two local inns and further onto the small market town of Colyton.
Lyme Regis 'The Pearl of Dorset' with famous Cobb and Mark Hix Oyster and Fish Restaurant tucked away in Langmoor Gardens is an easy 15 minutes drive away. Lyme Regis offers a variety of activities - fossil hunting, fishing trips and coastal walks along the Undercliff Nature Reserve to Seaton and in the opposite direction to Charmouth.
The market town of Axminster is also 15 minutes drive away with the famous Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen and courses at River Cottage HQ at nearby Park Farm. The Regency Town of Sidmouth is also nearby with variety of shops, cafes, swimming pool and cinema. The Cathedral city of Exeter with the Princesshay shopping centre, 20 miles away.
