A stunning detached late Victorian coastal Arts and Craft style House in an excellent elevated and idyllic position overlooking Lyme Bay on the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, situated at Seaton Hole, between Beer and Seaton.  A perfect holiday situation with just a few steps across the road to the sea and cliffs.

 

Conveniently, a 10 minute walk along the South West Coast path to the picturesque fishing village of Beer with sheltered beach, sailing, fishing boat trips, small family run cafes, local fish for sale, deck chairs for hire, a variety of restaurants, shops and inns.  A little further along the cliff path to Branscombe with the renowned Masons Arms Inn serving excellent food. 

 

Just a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction to Seaton with local shops, pretty Axmouth Harbour and Axe cliff top golf course.  The mile long beach at Seaton is ideal for swimming, water sports, rock pooling, fishing or just lazing in a deck chair.  The famous Seaton Tramway runs along the River Axe, a bird watcher's paradise, to Colyford and market town of Colyton.

 

Lyme Regis, is an easy 15 minutes drive away offering a variety of activities - fossil hunting, fishing trips and coastal walks along the Undercliff Nature Reserve to Seaton and in the opposite direction to Charmouth. 

 

The market town of Axminster is also 15 minutes drive away with the famous Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen and course held at River Cottage HQ, nearby at Park Farm.

 

The Regency Town of Sidmouth is also nearby with a variety of shops, cafes, swimming pool and cinema.  The Cathedral city of Exeter with the Princesshay shopping centre, 20 miles away.

ACCOMMODATION: 

The drive leads through two stone pillars into landscaped gardens with three giant Montery Cypress trees to the house.  The property has recently been fully renovated and refurbished to an excellent standard, offering spacious accommodation.  During the refurbishment the owners sourced local products, using environmentally friendly products and materials.

FACILITIES:  2 x LCD widescreen TV’s.  Surround sound Hifi.  Bed linen/towels/central heating /toiletries inclusive, (please bring own beach towels).  Large capacity washing machine.  Tumble Dryer.  Dishwasher.  Microwave.  American style Fridge/Freezer with ice maker and filtered water dispenser.  2 x travel cots. High chair, baby bath, monitors and toys. 

 

2 x Z Beds @ a supplement of £50 for each additional young child. 

 

Barbeque.  Ample parking in drive.  Pet by arrangement.  The owners who live next door can arrange for your online supermarket order to be delivered prior to arrival (Waitrose, Sainsbury and Tesco’s all deliver).  A welcome hamper comprising of wine, tea, coffee, biscuits and milk.

 

Please let the owner know should you require additional service – catering, housekeeping or onsite beauty treatments, at an additional charge.

 

N.B.  No smoking in property please. 

 

Check in from 4 pm on arrival day.

Check out by 10 am on departure day.

 

Security deposit of £500 payable on all bookings.

 

This property is not covered by our Cancellation Protection Plan and strongly suggest you take out your own appropriate insurance.
